Primary and speciality care for adults and children
Dr. Z’s patients appreciate her down-to-earth attitude, upbeat personality, and commitment to educate, inspire, and empower.
Although she wears a stethoscope, Dr. Zelfand (that’s ZELL-fand, or Dr. Z for short) approaches medicine radically differently than most other doctors. Trained in both conventional medicine and natural therapies, she looks beyond the mask of symptoms to understand and ultimately nourish the underlying imbalances that cause illness. She takes the time and care to fully understand her patients and their health.
If you need lab tests (including specialty tests like food intolerance screenings and genetic tests), she can draw blood in the office or refer you to an outside facility of your choosing. Need a pap smear? No problem. (Plus she’s got a heated table and cloth gowns!) A mole biopsied? She’s got you covered. A kink in the neck? She’s skilled in manipulative therapy. B12 shots? Check. Annual physical for school or sports? Yep. Chronic pain? She’s trained in neural therapy and neural prolo. But will she treat a regular run-of-the-mill ear infection? Yes! She treats everything a “conventional” primary care doctor does, and then some.
A visit with Dr. Z typically entails a conversation about your or your child’s health over a cup of tea, a thorough physical exam, and working together to come up with a realistic treatment plan.
Building on the foundations of western “conventional” medicine and pharmacology, Dr. Z’s therapeutic approach includes clinical nutrition, botanical medicine, homeopathy, injection therapies, lifestyle counseling, and osseous manipulation.
